LEGO Clone Troopers Battle Pack 7655(3)

Great addition to our growing LEGO box

I bought this for my husband and daughter who are LEGO maniacs. They loved that it came with several stormtroopers- they look just like the guys in the Star Wars movies. Some LEGO pieces in this pack aren't normal LEGO's and are believed to be hard to find (at least that's what I'm told since I'm the only NON-lego maniac of the house).

LEGO Clone Troopers Battle Pack 7655(2)

Fun Clone Trooper Toy!

From my seven year old son Jared: It is a very well built toy. I like it a lot. The first time I saw it, I saw it at my friend Jack's house, and we played with it, and it was a lot of fun. And then I asked my mom if I could buy it, and that's how much I like it.

LEGO Clone Troopers Battle Pack 7655

Let there be clones!

Speaking of educational value. I did use these to make a point in my graduate level education class. We were talking about how in group work and collaboration, sometimes people have to be willing to wear different helmets. Ah, Legos, timeless, awesome toys.

Star Wars: Saga Legends Dark Trooper Action Figure

excellent toy, the only place I could find it to buy

STAR WARS LEGENDS DARKTROOPER I purchased this toy as a collector's item, so it is more for finacial value, as opposed to entertainment value. This is one of the more rare figures in the 30th anniversary collection and comes with a gold coin, rather than silver, like all of the other legends and regular figures do, except for the Galactic Hunt series. more details

Incredibly cool and a guaranteed kid pleaser, November 10, 2007 By
Learning All The Time "Its Never Too Late to ... (USA)
This beautiful starfighter jet? spaceship? never fails to elicit comments about its coolness or awesomeness from young visitors to our house. It was the first of my son's lego birthday presents that he assembled. He treasures this toy and takes great pains to make sure it doesn't get destroyed or broken or mixed up in the general lego bin. But even if it were to get mixed in, the bright yellow color should make it easier to find the needed pieces if my son ever wished to rebuild it. The starfighter is pretty durable too. It has been dropped several times and it is either undamaged or breaks in an easily fixable way - no shattered lego pieces strewn across the floor.

nice toy for kids, January 2, 2008 By J. Campo
My 8 yr old son was able to assemble the toy with patience. It made him concentrate, and he felt good having completed putting it together himself. He likes firing the torpedo around the house. Cool toy.

Hisotory of clone trooper

Clone troopers are soldiers in the fictional Star Wars universe. All were clones of a Mandalorian bounty hunter called Jango Fett. They first appeared in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, and returned in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith where they were played by Temuera Morrison. In these movies, clone troopers comprised the bulk of the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. While they were numerically inferior to the droid armies of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, the clones' adaptability and creativity made the Republic the superior fighting force.

History
In Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, it was revealed that the genetic template of the clone troopers was Jango Fett, one of the most feared bounty hunters in the Galaxy. In exchange for a clone "son," Boba Fett, Jango provided his genetic material and Mandalorian battle training to the cloners of Kamino. The clone troopers were outfitted with armor styled after Mandalorian battle armor and armed with weapons and vehicles produced in secret by Kuat Drive Yards, Rendili Stardrive, and Sienar Fleet Systems.
Clone troopers were engineered to mature at nearly double the rate of a normal human, which allowed the Kaminoans to build an army quickly but resulted in greatly reduced clone lifespans. Other modifications to the clone genome made clone troopers more docile and obedient to orders. Each clone's first ten years of life were spent training on Kamino: standard clone troopers were trained by droids and Kaminoans, while ARC troopers and clone commandos received instruction from Jango Fett and other bounty hunters.
The Battle of Geonosis marked the first deployment of the clone troopers as well as the beginning of the Clone Wars. Beginning with the rescue of the remnants of Mace Windu's Jedi strike team, the clone army fought the Separatist forces of the Confederacy of Independent Systems throughout the galaxy. After Geonosis, clone trooper armies were led by Jedi generals, who were in turn accompanied by Clone Commanders. Notable Clone Commanders included Commander Cody, who served with Obi-Wan Kenobi throughout the war, Commander Gree, who served with Jedi Master Luminara Unduli and Jedi Master Yoda, Commander Bacara, who served with Jedi Master Ki-Adi-Mundi, and Commander Bly, who served with Jedi Knight Aayla Secura.
While they had normal human emotions (and in the later stages of the war had developed an underground culture), standard clone troopers were genetically modified to obey orders from their superiors. The clone troopers eventually carried out Order 66 at the behest of Chancellor Palpatine, turning on their Jedi generals. This marked the end of the Clone Wars, as well as the death of the Old Republic. After the war and the birth of the Galactic Empire, the clone trooper army was superseded by the Imperial Stormtrooper Corps.
According to Star Wars Battlefront II, the surviving clone troopers were renamed stormtroopers and became the main fighting force of the Empire. Jango Fett clones throughout the force were slowly replaced by non-clone recruits because of their susceptibility to manipulation by the Kaminoans (who led a revolt against the Empire). One of the few stormtrooper legions to remain "pure" (completely composed of Jango Fett clones) through out the era of the Empire was the fictional 501st ("Vader's Fist"), which was named in honor of a real-world fan group called the 501st Legion.
Only one original Jango Fett clone fought for the Rebel Alliance in the Galactic Civil War: Able-1707, formerly under the command of Shaak Ti.[1] Able-1707 was stranded on a planet for 20 years after his unit was destroyed in battle against Separatist forces. He assisted the Rebels when a group of them - which included Luke Skywalker - were attacked by Imperial forces while trying to establish a listening post on the planet, and subsequently joined Rebel Alliance Intelligence.

Good value - lots of mini-figures (droids) for the price, January 23, 2008 By
Jim Hunt (Fremont, California USA) - See all my reviews
Durability: Fun: Educational: My 8-year old gets a lot of mileage out of this pack of drois. For the price as compared to other lego packs with individual mini-figures, it is a good deal. I rated low durability because it seems to me that the parts may wear and not connect over time but I have not evidence of such as yet.

Fun,Cheap, and easy to build!!, March 2, 2008 By
Hector Blue "Tama Dude" (L.O., OR United States) - See all my reviews
Durability: Fun: Educational: I bought like 500 of these because the price was so low and that it was the first set with Battle Droids in it for years. I sort of got bored building it because after abou the 4th I could memorize the instructions from my head. But I was annoyed when they had to hold there blasters sideways because I got the big MTT set and the droids had strait arms. Also the set does play pretty fun and it's durable too!!

Too Many Tiny Pieces, September 9, 2007 By
Sweetlove "desperately seeking Christmas" (Soquel, CA) - See all my reviews
Durability: Fun: Educational: Your kid will think the picture on the box is great and he will attempt to put the toy together. But don't be surprised if he enjoys the droid figures and plays with them apart from the ship. And if you have a dog or crawling babies at home, be careful of all the small pieces which can easily lodge in their throats.

Did you authorise the creation of a Clone Army?", 16 Dec 2006 By
S. D. J. Parry "Cap'n Steve" (Kent, U.K.) - See all my reviews
Durability: Fun: Educational: Lego kicks off Star Wars' 30th Anniversary year with a great set of kits including this troop builder Battle Pack. The Clone Trooper Battle Pack consists of a B.A.R.C. Speeder, a Battle Pod and 4 Clone Troopers. The best thing about this kit is not the vehicles, it's the figures. You get a Shock Trooper, a 327th Star Corps Trooper and 2 standard white Clone Troopers. After making Star Wars kits for 7 years Lego have finally started making blaster rifles for their figures so the 327th Star Corps Trooper and the 2 Clone Troopers come equipped with standard blasters, while the Shock Trooper comes equipped with a heavy assault rifle. There's also a pair of electrobinoculars as well. This kit takes almost no time to build - 4 minutes - but it is going to be very popular as people will be buying lots of them to build those Clone Armies. A great kit and nice to see Lego taking a cue from Hasbro and realeasing some much needed troop builders.
